The BEST of the NEXT Generation

We are only as strong as our word. After taking a week+ off from blogging despite saying I would be doing so daily I realized I was not practicing what I preach. Follow through is more important than the initiative. Remember:

"The smallest deed done is better than the greatest intention not"

With that said, let’s jump into this week’s topic. As my mentor Coach Micheal Burt says, “If life’s worth living it’s worth writing down.” Over the course of the next month I am challenging myself to finish up the first draft of my book, “Y I’m Better Than U: How to find your differential advantage as the BEST of the NEXT Generation.” This has been an ongoing process for the past six months but I would like to invite you in for a backstage pass.

Writing this book has been a rollercoaster of emotions that I feel EVERY person needs to experience. We all have a story to tell and that’s what makes you unique from the billions of people that roam this earth. If nothing else, a book will help you find your differential advantage and share your experiences with the world. You can, in turn, use this book as a way to articulate your value to potential family, friends, and potential employers through every encounter with another. Whether or not the book sells a single copy or you become a National Bestseller I guarantee you will learn more about yourself and what you stand for.

Here are my top 3 reasons to write a book:

It’s not enough to simply read a blog, magazine, or book if you don’t learn it, breathe it, and teach it to others. Make everything your own and relateable! Today, I ask that you think about your past experiences and discover of a topic that could add value to the world from your own unique perspective that differentiates yourself from others.
